Tell me who/what your character is after ~30 years in a fantasy world, cut off from everything he once knew. Get as descriptive as you like. I won't guarantee you'll end up there, but it will be considered heavily.

I'm torn...
John Rambo, circa the most recent Rambo movie. An embittered bad ass who has had all of his compassion ground out of him by life and, despite being able to kill people with his pinky finger, spends his life doing something unbelievably stupid for a living (wrangling manticores or basilisks or something.)
Or a Sir Percival type, who is remains committed to an ideal/organization, despite the fact that the world itself seems to have turned against that ideal/organization.
Both could be really fun to play, I think...

Either some sort of military strategist leader who tries to rule over territories. He uses his intelligence and knowledge of history to bring about a golden age. or a wizard of some sort if he is able to learn.

After a little consideration, I figured I'd amend my goals here. I'm definitely interested in going the Rambo route as indicated above, with an emphasis on the D&D Ranger type of motif. This means I'll need to greatly increase a number of my skills (specifically, the Camouflage, Stealth, Survival and Tracking sorts) as well as pick up a bunch of new ones (like Bow and Observation.) In regards to powers, I'm thinking the Wolverine-enhanced senses (Discriminatory hearing, smell & taste) probably make the most sense.
In staying with the disillusioned John Rambo thing, I see him as having become a member of some Good organization (a knightly order, for example, or an officer under a "good" king) but discovering that said organization is rotting from the inside. Attempts would be made to fix it, but bad things happen, people die (perhaps someone he's become close to ... or multiple someones), which prompts him to give up on those he once believed in (so it'd have to be something BIG.) Thus, he just walks away, perhaps after doing the medieval equivalent of slamming his badge down on his lieutenant's desk.
