As much as Rigil likes to play the paragon, even he will readily admit that him being able to do the Jedi Mind Trick would be very bad for society Cataclysmic is the word I think I'd use. "I love democracy. I love the Republic. These powers I ... will not lay down, bitches!"

Also, can someone post the hero pdfs? It will give me some idea as to what the group has/needs and how to divide up my points. The ones in the team post don't work. Sure, they do. I just had to correct the url.

Wow. Well the short answer is " Four color with modernist leanings."
Essentially it means in this campaign the heores are Heroic and Good. That doesn't mean that they have no flaws it just means that they, for whatever reason, choose to utilize their abilities for the good of the many instead of the good of the one.
-Just a side bit. N8, you were kept saying that heroes in this type of setting were like paladins and "Lawful Stupid" I respectfully disagree. Even in four color campaign like this one you have people all along the Law/chaos axis. Spiderman would probably be chaotic good to superman's Lawful good. Marvel's Civil War was an example of a grand conflict on that axis.
A Rorschach character isn't really going to work for this campaign. He is a sociopath and this is a superhero group.
Also a warning about the psi. I disallowed Mind Control because it is not a Heroic power. FYI

I agree, but I really wasn't planning on making a true 'Rorschach' character, but just describing more of a general 'weight of the world on their shoulders' character... who may be willing to do some uncouth things when pushed... I'm still trying to figure out how Superman is considered Lawful Stupid. Was Christ Lawful Stupid? Because they have a lot in common ... I mean, strange visitors from distant lands capable of superhuman feats. And didn't Jesus suffer weirdly when kryptonite was nearby?
Say ... was Judas bald?
going to hell...

Even in four color campaign like this one you have people all along the Law/chaos axis. Spiderman would probably be chaotic good to superman's Lawful good. And I personally have never been able to lock down The Bat's alignment. Sure, he's Good, but he's obsessive about people breaking the law and being criminals and bringing order to a disorderly city ... so that makes him Lawful, right? But, wait ... he routinely breaks the law himself and appears to have little regard for civil liberties in the pursuit of justice. Which makes him Chaotic, right? Well, he's certainly not Neutral, not with his "you're on my side or you're on the ground, bleeding and whimpering after I lay the smack down on you" mindset.

I am thinking we are going to have a short prequel to get everybody acquainted to M & M before we start the campaign proper. It is going to be set 10 years before the Initiative was formed and will feature a pivotal event in the history of Freedom City, The Terminus Invasion. As far as character for the prequel, since many of your character's won't be adventuring yet, we have a number of options. - Use your character's stats and just call them something else, or
- maybe you are a Legacy character (name of hero passed down from generation to generation)
- Those of you who are interested in trying a new character can create a new one. (though this is going to be one, maybe two sessions max. So it's up to you.
- Use an existing hero active at the time. (some exceptions may apply)
- Use templates from the core book
This is just to get people acquainted with the system and with some of the history of Freedom City.

Ok, with the exception of Rigil (who will be playing the role of Centurion), the rest of you will be members of FORCE Ops. Below is some information on them. You don't have to pick one of them but feel free to choose any except Guardian. Freedom City, in the years before the Terminus Invasion is a place that cries out for heroes, only costumed heroes are not allowed by law(the Moore Act) to operate in the city. By definition, the only heroes in Freedom City are those willing to defy the law in order to do the job. That devotion to justice and doing the right thing over the letter of the law is the foundation of the Freelance Organization of Criminal Elimination Operatives, or FORCE Ops. Guardian, formed FORCE Ops using the resources at his disposal tracked down potential allies: heroes or outcasts operating in the shadows of the city. He brought them together and forged the unlikely allies into a powerful crime-fighting team. FORCE Ops Guardian | Powersuit archetype/leader, male | NPC | Bruiser( Brickhouse?) | Powerhouse/tank, male | SQ | El Gato | were beast/scrapper, female, | NPC | Kismet | Luck control/superspy,female | Unassigned/NPC | Metathesis | Chemical shifter | ShLE | Nightrage | Vampire, male | Daniel | Network | Electricity control/blaster,male | Chris | Weather Wizard | Weather controller/ | N8
UNAFFILIATED Centurion | Resident Badass | Rigil
If any of you decide you want to play one of these characters let me know and I can get you more info.

FYI, I'm planning on Guy picking up the Benefit (wealth) feat at first opportunity with the explanation that he's turned his super tech knowledge into a source of income, by patenting some inventions (probably through Guardian, Inc.) or possibly even have been "wooed" away from academics by Guardian, Inc.
My reasoning behind this is that, even though he enjoys teaching, he's focusing more on his costumed identity and has decided that being a professor is distracting him from that task. With adequate wealth at his disposal, he can focus on being Legionary full time.
This means I'll probably need to redo my 3-3-3 though...

A few things: - Updated Storm surge character to include immunity (starvation/thirst, sleep) and increased intelligence to 20 to match you background story better. Also added Power loss drawback
- Updated Catalyst character to include a "scrapper" configuration since we are losing McNurlen. Currently the strike power is claws but they can be hammers or some other bludgeoning objects too. You just won't have slow fall.
- @labrrat, I know you are busy, but at some point you should look up "metamorpho" to get a feel for the sorts of things you can use your powers for.
- The characters have known each other for a few months now so be thinking of the sort of relationship you have with each other member. (friendly rivalry, mild dislike, bosom buddy, etc.)
- If everybody could include where ther "residence" is in their background ( for example: Legionary live just outside of HIT, Maverick and Justicar live in the Fens) it would help me out.
Thanks

I live outside the city typically, a little out past the suburbs. If that is alright?
