After much thought and quite a bit of discussion, I've decided to change gears, and run something else—Good News™ is that a) we haven't gotten very far into the TempSol thing, and b) the new plan may involve existing characters (though they'll need some tweaking).
So, the new plan is Alien Invasion—not the official title, but that's the gist of it, anyways. Disaster-stricken urban setting, fighting an invading alien menace.
Rather than post a bunch of polls, I'll just get everyone to answer a few questions here:
Another consideration—and this may become an official table-rule: If you do not have the time, or the mental/social bandwidth, or for whatever other reason, you do not want to a) deal with character creation, or b) deal with forum posting/questions, OPT OUT NOW—if you do, you will not be bothered about it again, WRT this campaign. I will create characters on behalf of anyone who wishes to opt out; I will get a general sense of what you want to do, and I'll leave a bit of room for customization, but that's it. If you opt out, you will not be expected to participate in any message-board polling, or off-screen activity of any kind.
I already know that McN will be opting out, WRT the above.

- What kind of characters do you want to play? Current plan is to use the characters from The Dispensables—they'll have to be reworked a bit. Could play civvies, though. Mixed-bag? Others?
- Point-levels? Don't think I want to go with 250, as for The Dispensables, but 100 will be too low (and if you really want 250, I can be talked into it). OTOH, with civilians, 100-150 is perfectly fine.
- What city? L.A. is an obvious choice, but there are plenty of other metropolises to work with—doesn't even need to be the US.
- I'm torn whether to jump right in to D-Day, or work up to it. Your preference?
