Autobiography:Something funny occur'd ta me a long time ago - back when I was young and runnin' round the open prairie with my tribe - folk will do whatev'r they want if they can. Aw sure, they'll justify it. They'll make big statements about the "greater good," "only followin' orders," or "havin' no choice." Some well learn'd folk who've had slaves or servants do ev'rthin' for 'em in life 'specially like to quote some English feller and tell folks "It is the greatest good to the greatest number of people which is the measure of right and wrong." Heard those kinda phrases all the time when someone was about to do somethin' wrong. Heard 'em when 'Merican soldiers came and "helped" move me an' the rest o' my tribe further north due to some rail line owner claimin' they owned the land we've been on fer longer then I've been 'round. Didn't matter what we said, didn't matter what we wanted - we were going to be moved - dead or alive. Bein' young an' a bit brash, I was ready to die there, but my father and the tribal leaders reminded me that discretion was the better part of valor. When we moved north, we were forced to join with another tribe. Oh sure, they were Sioux like us. Not all Sioux are alike tho' - despite what some'll have ya balieve. This new tribe, they were fixiated on tha "Old Ways." Ev'rythin' was better with the "Old Ways." We Sioux are better folk 's-long as we stick to the "Old Ways." If'n that's the case, then why're we here, nearly held hostage by the ferners who're just lickin' they're chops 'n bidin' they're time 'til they can take the rest 'o what they took. No, no "Old Ways" for me. None of that spiritual stuff. The new tribe members didn't much care for that attitude, so they sent me out fer months at a time to guard tha buffalo from poachers. Time went on, tensions grew 'tween me and the shamans. Soon the "Old Ways" had fully grasped most of the tribe and I was no longer welcome besides my own family until I had removed all the "corruption" of the ferners. That wasn't gunna happen. My rifle was corruption. My booze was corruption. Even tho' my "corruption" had saved me and the tribe many times - they didn't care. Those in charge o' sermonin' and preachin' is just 'nother way to control a man - mak'm act a cert'n way - all for the better for someone else normally. I had to set out on my own, collectin' bounties or whatever odd jobs I could do to get by. Was a good life. Learn'd lots o' important stuff. More important than all the books and philosfy in the world. I'll boil it down to two lessons for ya: first, you can only rely on yourself. A head full of knownin' how to survive and hands full of a trusty gun is all someone really needs to live on their own. Second, I've seen some wierd stuff on those cold nights alone, things that'd make many folk turn to superstition and other folly. There's 'nothin supernatural or spiritual 'bout the strange things we see out there, least of all when they can be killed with a tiny piece 'o metal and a simple man like me. So now I'm here, 'n Sante Fe. No soldier to tell me where to live. No shaman er preacher to tell me what ta think. I try to do right by folks, but ain't tied to 'em. And that is somethin' in life not many can say. Worst Nightmare:The worst night 'o sleep I've ever had was 'bout me bein' trapped. I was trapped inside myself, helpless to think or do anythin' for myself. Forced to watch as someone else controlled me. I'd lost ev'rything a life is. My body and my mind were theirs and I couldn't even choose when or how I'd die. Attachments:

FYI, this guy would call himself Lakota, not Sioux. Sioux is what other people call them. Lakota (which translates to The People, I think) is what they call themselves.

So noted. Hopefully he will be interesting beyond my lack of properly identifying him when talking to his own people vs others

Submitted for SQ's approval:
Language (English): 1 -> 2... 2 BP... I've been around these "English" speaking guys long enough I should be able to start talking better and slowly begin to read/write in it
Horse Ridin': 0 -> 2... 4 BP... Been riding a lot of horses lately, I figured I should of picked up a couple of tricks to not make me fall off and maybe even make it go in the general direction I want him to...
Fightin' (Brawlin'): 1 -> 4... 9 BP... Jeez have we been using our fists a lot... I figured Ista was already lower than he shoulda been for Fightin', so I think bumping it up quite a bit would make more sense for his character...
This comes to a grand total of 15 BP.
I have 3 BP from before, 5 BP from this last mission... I had 3 White Chips, 1 Red Chip, and 1 Blue Chip in reserve, so I would be down to a single White Chip if you approve my changes...
Good?

Don't think we're legally able to jump multiple levels at once, but you might be able to talk the GM into it...

There are no rules against running up the skill levels.
I'd just say you need a good excuse.
I think you've got some good excuses for multiple levels there.
