That would make sense to me - the character has had a chance to "catch his/her breath" but still suffers from the actual condition until officially recovered.

so, just a thought...would shifting to war mage at next level be beneficial or should i just stick it out with sorc?

so, just a thought...would shifting to war mage at next level be beneficial or should i just stick it out with sorc? I think sticking with the sorc is fine.. the sorc can be a great character with the right spells selection... but if you are tired of it, do what you want

Not tired of it by any means...just a thought toward making him a lil more combat effective

unfortunately at lower levels I don't think the sorc is built for that, but give it a few levels and he will come online with some cool stuff

Multi-classing a caster always reduces their effectiveness, since much of their capability is tied to their caster level, and so should be done with caution.

Question for the GM/Group:
I will be using Interfaith Blessing [Complete Champion p123] each morning on 3rd-4th level to give the group a nice little buff.
By the rules, unless you follow a deity listed, you roll a d8 and let that decide your buff for the day.
The blessings are as follows: +1 to attack and saves +1 to attacks and skill checks +1 to attack rolls and AC +2 to damage rolls +2 to AC +2 to attack rolls +1 on attack rolls and damage rolls
So, SQ do you want us to reroll each day for that? Do you want us to choose are blessings since we're playing in a world with generic gawds? What does the group want?

I like the idea of rolling each day but that is because my character would probably follow a gawd of chance/chaos, and therefore buff selection should reflect that. Also, you only listed 7 buffs...is an 8 a wild card (it might explain it in the description, I'm just too lazy to look it up)?

Finially I have had a chance to look that up. Persistent spell only works for a personal range, or fixed. Since you are not a fixed position, the party cannot benifit from this spell.
Even though the spell can work on everyone, everyone else will only get it for 3 minutes.
Sorry.

Also...since the spell is not a fixed range (similar to a zone that is fixed. Ie not movable) or personal I don't think you can persist that spell.

I think you are misunderstanding how persistent spell works... From the SRD: From the WotC FAQ: Interfaith blessing has a range of 20ft which is a fixed range (ie, not 'short', 'long' etc). Therefore it can be persisted. There is no wording in there that says the spell has to remain in a fixed position.

Ok. Just read the faq, and some other rulings...
So, from what I've read, once you persist something like a bless spell, it follows you around like an aura. So it will technically only work for those 20' around you, but once they leave the "clock" so to speak starts, and they have like 3 minutes (is that right) of the spell left or they can get back in the aura.
Yeah...so sorry...you were right.

Yeah...so sorry...you were right. No worries man... like you said, there are about a million rulebooks, the odds of the GM not hearing of a specific feat/rule/application etc is quite common, so misunderstandings are expected... So what would you like to do, have everyone roll each day for their blessing? Have them choose? Something else? Also, McNurlin, you have impeached my gawds honor - I demand satisfaction, put up your dukes!

Sorry for another question to the group, but this one is RP based and has been bugging me since I had time to think about it Sunday
Should Rowan of jumped into the brawl? He was defending Mace who was about to go on a 3-to-1 fight, but is that what a LG character should of done? If not, what would be more appropriate for his alignment?

If not, what would be more appropriate for his alignment? If it's against the law to brawl in the streets, then "no." Probably would have been more appropriate to attempt to break up the (potential) fight. OTOH, maybe it isn't illegal, per se…

Depends...in the wharehouse district, its primarily Union run, so guards turn a blind eye unless it gets big enough...
