Ok...I've noticed a few things that need some tweeking. 1st of all is movement.
As the current rules state, you can move 2wice your speed in a single round.
This gives the average person with a pace of 6 a top running speed of about 5 mph.
Usain Bolt topped out at 27.9 mph!
So here's what I propose:
Good news - You can move up to your full pace each action. One full move up to your pace is "free" (No penalty).
Bad news - If you move more than twice your move, you are considered running (-4 to actions). Beyond twice your move, you are considered sprinting. (Can take no other actions)
Now, this will technically allow a move of up to 5 times your pace (Move your pace on each card).
This still fits within human limits. If you have a pace of 12, this gives you 24.5 mph sprint. For a pace of 6, you'd move at 15.6 mph.
This may take a little more thought on everyones part, but makes things a little more realistic.
Thoughts?

PG115, re "Rounds" vs "Actions":
PG118, re "Movement":
Also worth noting, PG117, re "Black Joker":Does not say to discard highest card as well.

I'm a bit concerned being able to move your pace on a single action will get a little crazy...
ie, Assuming we have a pace of 12 can we walk up 6 yards, shoot, walk back 6 yards?
Even if you can't break up your moving and shooting, folks will be able to fly around in combat pretty well... I mean assuming I have a pace of 12, and draw 5 cards, I could "walk" 60 yards in 5 seconds and fire my gun 5 times without penalty... For comparison: Average major league time is 6.9 seconds for the 60 yard dash

? I am confused. I was talking about SQ's proposed changes... SQ's changes are unnecessary. We were doing it wrong in the first place.

Apparently, I need to correct myself: SQ was expressing an issue with the correct rules (which I cited), not with the way we were playing it (which, by the rules, was incorrect). That said, I agree that under the correct, by-the-rules, system, it's way too slow, and maybe needs to be addressed.
My recommendation is that we increase the maximum per-Round distance to 5×Pace (or whatever), and add "sprinting" (no other action allowed while sprinting, at > 2×Pace). There's no good way to restrict the maximum travel per Action (AKA Card), as one might only have one card to cover the entire 5-sec Round.
Alternatively, it might be worthwhile to set the max at 4×Pace (?) normally, and if one spends the entire Round (all Cards) sprinting, allow the extra 1×.
