Can you remind me of all that this entails. Eschatological apocalypse. AKA Angels v Demons (or Vorlons v Shadows, if you prefer). The "What if Supernatural/Constantine/Legion/The Prophecy went wrong" angle.

SITREP:
We've got ~4 weeks left, and I've got maybe an unconfirmed one-line indication of who the PCs will be (excepting Rigil's), and no 3×3 at all. I realize we've all been swamped lately, but we need to make something happen, here, or we're going to be taking time out of game-night to deal with it.
Just to get it (back) on your radar.

As you guys are thinking about the 3×3, I should remind you that these are things to be incorporated/experienced in the campaign itself—people you want the characters to run into, places you want the characters to end up, and events you want the characters to experience.

I completely misunderstood the point of the 3x3x3. I thought it was going to the be "people/places/events that shaped the character into what he/she is."
Will probably need to re-evaluate mine a bit...

Just to get it (back) on your radar. It is on my radar, unfortunately at work we are approaching the start of a major experiment... and I am the only programmer working on the experiment which heavily relies on multiple computer systems and programs working together flawlessly... to say I am busy is the understatement of the year and I've been taking my work home with my every night now for a couple weeks.. I know boo hoo so sad, but I'm overloaded and stressed to the point where I may need to take a hiatus from gaming for awhile while the experiment is running... I know you need the characters and I will try to get it to you ASAP, but I may need to step out of the game depending on how the next couple weeks go...

That said, you dropping out (temporarily) is a little problematic; 3 players is borderline too few. OTOH, ATE is a good game to have too few, if it has to happen. I guess we'll see.

Well is Tom coming back a temp thing just for Chris' campaign or is he talking about coming back and staying? If so then you'll still have your four players.

Misc notes: - 3×3: "People" do not need to be in any way related to your, or any other character—could be good guys, bad guys, groups, etc. This is just a pool of NPCs for me to incorporate into the narrative. If you put them down in the 3×3, I will assume you want to run into them
- Check back to the General Info thread if you haven't in a while—it's been updated a few times, and some info there will be helpful for "story" stuff; specifically The Colony
- Re: above, note that it is not a "competitive" show
- Suggestion re Rigil: the show uses actors—it's not out of the question that your character is one of the actors, and not a "player" (for lack of a better term)
- Suggestion re N8: A potential background item to have been researching, and excellent source of minor crazy; the predicted Doomsday is also "slightly off" as you described (see below)
Also, I've backtracked on the "aliens" angle, back to the eschaton—finally figured out how to handle it. I've pretty much decided to tell you all the basics of what's happened, since it's unlikely you will be directly involved with it, and it might help with some story stuff. Essentially: - PCs get locked in the LOB; during the crew's attempts to get them out, the Apocalypse begins
- It starts with the appearance of some sort of structure (Ref:Conquest Icons (the "tower thingy")-Chronicles of Riddick) in the middle of major cities (as it turns out, worldwide)
- Shortly after, a disturbing, loud "horn" is heard (Ref: Tripods' "horn blast"-War of the Worlds), repeated seven times
- After the noise, what most folks would describe as many thousands of "angels" pour out of the structure(s) and begin killing indiscriminately every man, woman, child, and beast
- Gov'ts nuke their own cities, presumably to attempt to stop the slaughter—appears to have worked, as the "angels" are gone
- The recently dead are seen coming back to life, seeking human victims; spread infection to other humans, and wither plant-life
- By the end of 4 weeks, world population is -60%, as a result of war, death, plague and famine; nobody has a clue why any of it happened, but the running theory is that "our time was up"

Just FYI... "The Colony" is on Netflix instant watch if anyone happens to have it... There were two seasons, Shelley and I have seen the first one... it isn't a terrible show despite being 'Reality TV', it isn't great either though... but it may give you some inspiration

Re: This—the site is basically up & running, and I've started getting some content up. It'll be a bit of a learning-process for a bit, but I'd say it's safe to start adding stuff. I've got some tags established—use them, as appropriate. You can post stuff and leave it un-published until you're ready, if you want. If you're feelin' prosey(?), go ahead. It'd be nice to have some kind of accounting of what's happened during the 28-days (may require some discussion). Once the game starts, I'll want some PC stat-posts.

Need a new category: Character Journal or Player Participation or maybe Filler. Something like that. Here's how I intended this to work—and this is subject to change, if a better plan presents itself: I set up categories for the campaign(s) I set up tags for specific campaign things: - In-Character (this is what you guys will mostly use, I think)
- PC Stats
- Session Log (I intend to be handling this myself)
- GM Notes
- House Rules
May add more categories/tags if it helps organize better, but I want you to make sure to use them (and if you forget, I can go in and add them in later, I think, so no pressure)

Revised Background:
It starts with the appearance of some sort of structure (Ref: Conquest Icons from Chronicles of Riddick) in the middle of major cities (as it turns out, worldwide). Shortly after, a disturbing, loud “horn” is heard (Ref: Tripods’ “horn blast”-War of the Worlds), repeated seven times. Then everyone on the planet “blacked out” for what would be determined (on analogue clocks) to be 11 hours, 38 minutes; also, any electronic device with a circuit board was fried. Every city wherein the Icon appeared bore evidence of a massive nuclear explosion. Within 24 hours of the Event, the recently dead are seen coming back to life, seeking human victims; they spread infection to other humans, and wither plant-life, and those infected exhibited signs of increased paranoia and aggression, resulting in widespread rioting and small-scale warfare. By the end of 4 weeks, world population is down ~60%, as a result of war, death, plague and famine; nobody has a clue why any of it happened, but the running theory is that “our time was up.”

BTW, should we also have thoughts on Backup Characters? I have an idea for one - a Kansas National Guard soldier whose unit was in the ME somewhere, but he's at home on medical leave (PTSD, most likely); would probably use the guy who played Stanley in Jericho as a template - but haven't taken it further than that.
