Is the standard usage just one such Feat?

Yes.
"Special: You may select this feat only as a 1st-level character. You may have only one regional feat."

So to clarify, the regional feat is a feat in addition to the feat(s) you get at first level, or does it take the place of one?

- Human bonus feat - because Humans are superior!
- Regional feat
Then, add any feats you get for your class level - I think only Fighters gets a bonus feat @ 1, though I may be mistaken there.

Awesome! Thanks! Should have Aria's "dumbed-down" character posted tonight.

@rigil, I just noticed you're LG - I mistakenly kept reading it as LN. I think we all need to discuss what we plan on as far as how the group is going to act as a whole. Labrat and I have recently been really reading up on alignment and whatnot, primarily here: easydamus.com/alignment.htmlI don't want to start an alignment argument since that hardly seems productive but I just want to know what the expectations are with currently a TN Druid ran by McN, a NG or TN Warblade, and a LG Knight.

We've almost always had a bit of a spread, generally above the Evil waterline. You don't have to play to the extreme, no matter which you are. The only bad one is CN, and that's just because it gets abused a lot, something I've never seen in this group. Don't think too hard about it and ruin it for yourself. Does he respect authority or flip it the bird? Does he feel the need to help the old lady cross the street, or let her be? (Not pick her pocket; that's Evil )

I'm planning on mostly emphasizing the Good over the Lawful (so his alignment is really lawful Good, maybe?) where the Lawful part shows as him possessing a fairly strict code of honor that he adheres to. He is not a fool, though, so he recognizes others do not follow that code, but as long as you do not start mugging old ladies in the street or kicking puppies, he's more likely to look upon whatever actions you take in the non-lawful arena more as disappointments or you not living up to your own gods' given potential. Treat him with respect and you shall receive the same. Kenrick will be polite and friendly and generally treat people the way he'd like to be treated; those that abuse shall receive that which they deserve. I expect we'll only really have issues when the inevitable "we need to sneak in/lie to gain access" type of adventure pops up. Plus, depending upon how badly the universe craps on him, it's entirely possible his alignment will shift toward LN down the road...

Awesome, Rigil, thanks for the insight. Definitely no plans for mugging old ladies but I reserve the right to kick puppies at any time.
I'm also a little concerned because the beguiler isn't really a arcane caster replacement so we may be a bit weak on the spell throwing.

I was considering just running a straight Beguiler for the ease of build, maybe with a prestige class in there somewhere.

I don't know what kind of funk I am with this character but I seem to be really indecisive. I spent a long while just trying to figure out her alignment, let alone trying to figure out which maneuvers from the five different schools of throught she can pull from keeping in mind pre-reqs for later maneuvers/stances. Its giving me a headache.

If it makes you feel any better, I'll allow you guys to pick your AL after start—I'll probably keep my usual GURPS "grace period" of one session to re-sort

So he's probably apprenticed under a rogue Jedi non-guild wizard Well, since we are starting at first level (right?), he is currently Beguiler 1. So I think his first real goal is to find someone to apprentice under - or go to Ye Olde Barnes and Nobles and buy a Wizarding for Dummies tome. He will be actively seeking an apprenticeship and since I assume he has been in town for quite awhile, he knows the local wizard's guild is not much to his liking so will be finding someone else to teach him, even if that means someone of questionable reputation - so long as they are talented and not just a swindler - swindling is his job ;-)[/quote]

It's likely he's already been apprenticed to someone to get to this point. Whether or not he wants to apprentice further is up to you, as the player, whether or not you want that to be a thing for you; otherwise, he can learn on his own, with books and such (and we assume he's got the hands-on training he needed to get started)

I suppose we should probably deal with the same issue we had to in Crimson Throne, that is, where in The Capital everyone lives. I expect it'll be a bit more abstract in this case, but FWIW, I'm planning to rip off the Free City of Greyhawk in all those matters until I have a better plan—some stuff will undoubtedly get renamed, and any reference to the "river" will change to the "lake"

An inn of some sort, I presume. Kenrick will be in the capital as infrequently as possible with an eye more on 'go forth and adventure, thus earning fundage for the coming tourney.'
