Obviously, I do not have anything resembling a timeframe here, so we'll see how that plays out. The following is my current working teaser for this installment:As with so much else, nothing is set in stone, however. Some notes: - Because of "Daredevil, season 2", I wanted NINJAS. This caused me some minor grief as none of the existing characters were really appropriate for ninjaness to be worked in. Volume V, however, helped in that regard. Recall, if you will, the Devon Tower incident: a new Red Court baron (EDUARDO!!!) fled what appeared to be a White Council wizard strike, leaving behind a White Court vampire on her own. As a result, Eduardo (!!!) considers himself humiliated by this and has declared war on Diana Raith in order to destroy the woman who saw him flee. As the White Court is the weakest of the three main vampire courts, it seems logical that she would make new allies in the form of Jade Court vampires ... hence, ninjas.
- As stated in the postscript, Agent Curtmantle is believed to have been tragically killed in an explosion at Fairview. This has resulted in Jack being promoted to his former boss' position but without a corresponding change of duties. Now he's doing his job and Curtmantle's. Blame budget cuts.
- Mat has been offered an exciting new career in the world of international espionage alongside his Ally, Miranda, and will end up departing OKC for a while so he can go off and train with a gunslinging badass master.
- Giger has plans to introduce a secondary character who will be a wizardly type and will likely end up becoming Sofia's apprentice. It is highly probable that Volume VI will set this up, but no specifics have been set up yet. As I understand it, he's planning on being more of a chance or entropy mage instead of an explodey type, which will be very interesting to see. I already have a couple of vague ideas in that area (emphasis on vague.)
More specifics as they trickle down...

So here's another interesting thing: what would you (general "you", not specific individual) like to see your character(s) do in the next installment. As I stated ... somewhere (think it was in reply to LabRat in the Feed Me), I'm leaning toward trying to run an entire story arc (Volume VI) without the PCs interacting much (if at all). So rather than it really being a single "adventure", it'll be more likely four adventures, with each PC off doing his thing that might (or might not) merge at the end ... although to be honest, I think it would be amusing if every active PC has some near death experience and goes through whacky hijinks, and then at the end, you all sit down for coffee with each of you insisting it was just an ordinary day...

There are two planned new PCs who will be active during this installment. One is Giger's intended "probability and illusion mage" who is, by necessity, going to be quite a bit lower in points than Sofia (am currently leaning toward 150 or maybe 175 for him with a bulk of his spellcasting stuff to be potential (so, high Magery but only 1 or 2 points in Thaumatology.) Probably wants Luck or maybe even Serendipity, and maybe a Sorceror illusion power or two.) Really need to start hammering this at some point. I believe we were also thinking of having him be related to the Nunnehi Court in some fashion ... but I don't quite recall now. The other PC will be Chris' character and I am leaning toward a 150 pt version of Officer Davis who has transferred to OSBI and is now working for Carter. Since he already has existing stats, upgrading them is easy enough.

Update note: I am currently planning on setting Volume VI at or around Halloween, 2016 although this may change. Probably not, even though by the time we get to it, we'll be into 2017...

Still needed from Frito: PC Name.
My current plan is for us to use the Friday after GenCon (Aug 25) to go over characters once more and review the setting once more, then do some "fighting" that doesn't really count but lets everyone remember what they're character(s) are capable of. Then we'll pick up with the actual game the week after that.

Still needed from Frito: PC Name. Repeat. I still need the character name. My plan has not changed: this Friday (Aug 25), I'd like to go over characters once more and review the setting once more (this latter part is mostly for Frito), then do some "fighting" that doesn't really count but lets everyone remember what they're character(s) are capable of. With regards to the fighting, Mat will be doing some gun fu stuff and I'll likely enlist LabRat and MagMan to assist me in trying to shoot him dead, while Giger and Frito will have their characters (Lee and Unnamed, respectively) beat up on each other (HTH). If Giger doesn't mind, I'm going to delegate the dealing of that martial arts thing to him. Then we'll pick up with the actual game the week after that. I didn't want to start off straight away without refreshing our memories about the characters since it's been awhile and some (like Mat) have changed fairly significantly and others are completely new.

I'll try and get familiar with Mat's abilities, but my two Fall classes just started this week so we'll see.
After GenCon, I have some high expectations ;-)

Note that, with WxMAN having to essentially bow out of the game due to work/school, I may end up rescinding my plan to have Lee "unavailable" for this adventure ... will announce more after I digest this and figure out my next step...

Assume Lee told mom (snicker) about his vision - and if you need to bring him in during a session or whatever and control him for something you've got my permission (or if you want someone else to run him, that's fine too)

I think you meant Mat. Lee is Giger's PC.

Okay, so my current thinking is actually have Lee be present for this adventure after all instead of having him be elsewhere. Since I've already established in the "precap" that he is currently obsessed with an old case of his where he put Shay Mackenzie on death row, I'm going to go with that as his initial focus.
This means that Giger will be playing two characters during the game ... are you up for that, Giger? And does anyone have any issues with him doing so?

No problem here with Gigermann running two characters.

Yeah, I do actually have a problem with Giger running two characters....he should really be running three

Checking to see if I groked LabRat's remark at the end of Sofia's scene. You said "I need caffeine to deal with this" in response to Auric Craft's initial request for help ... am I correct in presuming this means Sofia is heading to Neutral Grounds?

That's what I intended. I figured a public place like Neutral Grounds would prevent Sophia from throttling Auric when she finds out what trouble he got himself into

Recap for Chapter 2 is up. Hope everyone had fun. CPs Gained: +1 for Colin, Jack, Howard, Woo and Sofia. Running tally of points for volume six are: - Colin - 5 CPs earned
- Howard - 4 CPs earned; 1 pt spent in Shadowing, 1 CP spent for Flesh Wound
- Jack - 5 CPs earned, 5 CPs spent (bought off Reluctant Killer)
- Sofia - 4 CPs earned, 1 CP spent (purchased Hidden Lore (Wizards) which she should have had in the first place)
- Woo - 3 CP earned, 2 CP Spent for Flesh Wounds
Feedback definitely appreciated. I'm already attempting to figure out how to better utilize Fantasy Grounds at the table - I screwed up and got some tunnel vision with regards to the map. Honestly, I don't want to use FG for that and would rather use the table, so mea culpa on that. (And the mapping was honestly one of the less effective parts...)
