BaaBar was conceived during a pillaging by the Juju half-orc tribe on a small village now wiped from history. Captured, his mother's pregnancy was blessed by the tribal shaman, after his chieftain guardsman father took responsibility for the unborn child. Half-orcs with human mother's do not tend to survive the birthing process, so the shaman used his ancient magics to call forth spirits granting strength and constitution while BaaBar's mother was in labor. Still a captive, even during childbirth and unbroken in her rebellion, BaaBar's mother called for curses down on what she saw as an abomination - causing the ritual to go wrong - and died shortly after BaaBar was delivered. BaBaar had malevolent spirits latch onto him, drawn by the celestial spirits meant to facilitate his birth. To save face over the ritual's, the tribal shaman used his influence to have the chieftain banish both BaaBar and his father from the tribe.
BaaBar and his father spent the next 16 years traveling from rural village to rural village, doing small jobs for just enough food and pay to survive. Each time, word spreading of a Juju warrior being spotted and being driven out by the villagers, fearful he was a scout or a ploy to prepare for a raid. BaaBar had learned to be quite the talker and friendly, despite how poorly each village visit ended. His father, recognizing that the best thing for BaBaar was to travel far from where Juju raided in order to avoid the stigma made up a coming of age trial that he claimed came from his Juju traditions. He sent BaaBar north, to seek someone in need of great help only to return when he could finally drive out the malevolent spirits which haunted him and fully enjoy the powers bestowed upon him by the good spirits that also surrounded his birth.
