Obsidian portal adventure logs have been updated. I'm currently working on getting NPCs up but for some reason OP is being really stupid right now. If anything looks off, then I will fix it when I have some time at home. Many thanks to those of you who got your character stats up.

If people have suggestions for actors to play certain recurring NPCs, then feel free to let me know. I'm not married to anyone in particular. So far you have: Max's Father Whistler from Blade

Session 4 recap is up. I didn't know if I made it clear but you all will be 2 points for session 4. I also want to clarify that you are going to put a pin in investigating the Poseidon transport delivery point that you discovered by using the office terminal, and will instead mosey your way on back to town where you will prepare to check out The River Styx. So tasks to work on this week: - Continue updating OP wiki/NPCs
- Post loot gained from last week's session
- Create "mission list" in spreadsheet to keep track of progress
- anything else?

We could go straight to Riverwind. Whether we go back to town first depends on where the warehouse is, I'd say—if it's on the way. My expectation is that we deliver the news and leave, so "further investigation" can occur immediately afterward as daylight remains.
OTOH, if there's enough loot from the warehouse that we need to drop it off at town, we'd probably do that first.
Can't think of anything else that's needed.

Upon figuring out that Galen is considering going to Riverwind, Bud is interested/eager to do so as well since that seems more likely to have guitar strings than wandering the outlands...

Upon figuring out that Galen is considering going to Riverwind, Bud is interested/eager to do so as well since that seems more likely to have guitar strings than wandering the outlands... But Bud has guitar strings. They are just contained in a cow leg... The supply shipment's supposed destination is approximately five miles NNE (6 miles north from Acheron) at the outskirts of Norman, OK. You may have to do some rooting around to find the transport truck, so it could take the better part of the day. I would expect you would have to find somewhere to camp for the evening or risk going back at night (which in theory could work out alright if your luck is good). At the warehouse I'll have you do some rolls at the beginning of Friday's session to see what you can recover from the different rooms. I'll also give you opportunities to salvage parts from the Protectrons, Mr. Handy, and the turret, which can be sold. There is also a safe in the office that can be picked and opportunities for some loot among the ghoul's bunker area. There is also a fusion core that can be salvaged as well. So we will resolve that first thing on Friday, see how much loot you end up getting after you roll, and then go from there.

How do you guys want to divvy up loot? To each their own, or more of a communal system? I'm asking so that I can figure out an SOP regarding the loot spreadsheet and I want to make sure I'm recording things right. FREX, Doctor Bones was able to extract a fair bit of Protectron/Turret parts that will net some caps if he sold them. Is that going to be split among the party when they get sold (and therefore be put in the spreadsheet) or will the profits just be his? P.S. Part of me really wants to see a talking dog with a German accent try to negotiate trade deals with merchants

Probly the easiest is to do the same as D&D—communal loot, and someone can "claim" something for himself if it's appropriate and/or agreeable.

Yeah. And then, if someone finds something during a search in-game, they can hoard it all they want.

So I wanted to see if you guys had an idea of what your next steps are going to be. That will help me get organized and focus on the right thing. So what will it be? You can go see the Brotherhood of Steel, investigate the ferals, round up some brahmin, go infiltrate the OU library on a book about catgut....something else entirely like say screw it and start a brothel, maybe? What's your pleasure?

Seems like the ferals are a more immediate threat

I still say the Brotherhood (time sensitive) first, then we go check out the ferals. Then the brothel

What's our next step? Guessing it's "track down the feral ghouls"?

What's our next step? Guessing it's "track down the feral ghouls"? Up to you guys. So far you can track down the ghouls, gain access to Vault 405 and investigate on behalf of the BoS, try to gain entrance to the River Styx for ghoul answers, or focus on one of the more minor missions. Decisions, decisions...

I think the presumption was "find the ghouls" first ... though I could be wrong.

Also, regarding potentially joining the Brotherhood, what would the mechanics there be? I'm currently leaning toward Bud being very much tempted (seduced even) simply because they have (to his mind) modern tech instead of this crappy future "kept together by duct tape and willpower" stuff everywhere else so he doesn't look too deeply at their morality ... yet.

Well it will certainly be a process and quit the slow burn, if you're okay with that. You will probably have to do several brotherhood "missions" over the next few chapters of this campaign to be an initiate, and then more training before they will even let you have access to power armor. In theory you can always steal some power armor off of a dead paladin, but even if you have it, it still requires training to use it. I would definitely keep doing things that will make them take notice of you, such as turning in the appropriate weapons and tech, bringing back dog tags from fallen soldiers you find in the wastes, and continue to do things they request of you. To put it in perspective, you guys are at like level 3 in D&D terms and you probably couldn't have access to power armor until you are 13 or 14. But yeah, if you are still game, we can certainly figure out a path for your to work towards

Yeah, I figured it would be something like that. I'm still game, yeah, though that could totally change as time passes if it turns out they have a more sinister mindset (although that could be interesting as well - I'm thinking Zack from Babylon 5 and the whole Night Watch subplot.) Of course, in D&D terms, he's probably what? Chaotic Good or maybe Chaotic Neutral and they're definitely Lawful Neutral...

Of course, in D&D terms, he's probably what? Chaotic Good or maybe Chaotic Neutral and they're definitely Lawful Neutral... In cannon, the initial mission of the BoS isn't necessarily evil as it is about ultimate preservation. Though overtime the teachings of the initial founding member Arthur Maxson, has been interpreted differently in some degree among the different chapters of Brotherhood. Due to the isolationist nature that is the wasteland, different factions have changed their ideals over time, some being more paranoid and near-fascist, while others actively working to make the wasteland a better place for technology and those who benefit from it. Generally speaking, to any civilian, the BoS typically comes off a arrogant and aloof at best, and bigoted and self-serving at worst. Your character wouldn't know this, but the fact that the Oklahoma chapter of Brotherhood is asking for help from "civvies" is highly unusual. Of course more will unfold about their nature, but for now they are holding their cards very close to their chest.

Technically, if I understand things correctly. If we were to head back to Riverwind, we could potentially kill two birds with one stone.
We suspect that the feral's could be coming from there, or that they know something about the ferals. Additionally, there is a back-door to the vault through the casino underground.
Heading to Riverwind would be my suggestion.

So this week we will find out the fate of Dr. Bones, and Max wants to rustle up some brahmin to replenish his dad's herd. Now the question is, how are you going to herd wild brahmin when you don't have horses or other means of transportation? I wanted to see if you guys wanted to try to hash out a plan before hand. I do have an idea, but it would require Magman to make the appropriate survival check before I tell it to you.

Use the minecraft way, find some sort food that they like. An apple as an example and lure them to you and if all else fails roll a survival roll. d6 and d6+1.

looks like a 4 You know that Brahmin can be persuaded by the three F's Feeding- Like your minecraft idea, some tasty food would probably convince a few of them to come with you. Downside is that you have to find/pay for and lug feed around for several miles and hope that you don't run out along the way. Fighting- Displaying threatening body language/sounds will prompt the herd's lead bull to try to drive you off. You can essentially lead him (and subsequently the herd) back to Acheron if you play your cards right. Just don't make a wrong move, or it may be your last move. F*cking- Covering yourself in urine from a cow in estrous will make you irresistible to the lead bull, and he will most likely follow you anywhere. Just don't bother bending over to pick something up that you dropped.
