Yes, I am aware that this is early and we're still focused on A&8. However, I wanted to get my current thoughts and plans here so you can get eyes on.
As indicated by the front page of the Portals page, we're skipping ahead five years. Since this is a GM-determined skip, no one will make ageing rolls. We ended the previous run with:

As indicated by the front page of the Portals page, we're skipping ahead five years. Since this is a GM-determined skip, no one will make ageing rolls. We ended the previous run with:
- All PCs but Baefre had been sent to a gulag on Lubyanka thanks to the machinations of Sir Korbin's enemy, Boris Johns, Lord Dunn. This means that all of your gear is lost. Clearly, you'll need to have a ... word with Korbin's enemy down the road...
- Baefre was on the Otherside of the (now collapsed) wormhole and staring at a Dyson Sphere.
- The Battle of Three Navies had taken place and the Second Moros Civil War had begun.
Some further notes:
- At the gulag, Anya's "lawyer" was waiting for his client, much to her confusion and surprise (as well as that of the gulag personnel), and demanded a private meeting with her. Both of them vanished without a trace from that meeting - they walked through a door and just ... disappeared) and all images or vids or picts of this lawyer just spontaneously corrupted.
- Her memory of this time period is ... sketchy at best, but we'll get into that later.
Career rolls:
- Alexei, Ilik, Korbin, and Rostya will roll one term on the Prisoner career (p54 of Core Rulebook.) For the purposes of this, we're ignoring Parole - the lot of you will be at the gulag for a little under four years and then get out.
- All imprisoned PCs have subsequently discovered that their respective factions (Alexei & Rostya: SFC; Ilik: House Alcluith of Twelve Families; Korbin: House Asquith-Orlov) learned that they were in the gulag early on ... and didn't bother trying to rescue them, likely souring PCs toward the factions and pushing them toward being becoming wholly independent.
- Thanks to the actions of an imprisoned psion at the gulag who went dream-walking, Rostya has become aware that the Collective seriously messed with his head to the point that he doesn't know what to believe regarding his past anymore.
- Above-mentioned psion also later tried to dream-walk into Ilik's brain who has a vague memory of the dream where an intruder met with a towering four armed humanoid with a carapace made entirely of metal resembling chrome and wholly covered with razor-sharped blades; the following morning, that unregistered psion and his bunkmate were discovered in their cells, deader than dead. They were flayed and filleted and blood was everywhere...
- Anya is a little different. As stated above, she disappeared from the gulag. From this time, she has trippy recollections of impossible vistas, bizarre entities and running. Lots and lots of running. She can attempt to enter and roll one term for Drifter, Rogue, Truther (from Companion) or even Believer (also from Companion). She is also probably responsible for the rest getting sprung from the gulag when she reappeared on Elpis after all those years of weirdness...
- Like Anya, Baefre's memories from his time on the Otherside are suspect. He can attempt to enter and roll one tour for Drifter, Rogue, Truther or Believer as well. Further, he is NOT WITH THE PCs initially.
Let me know if you have questions and yes, I do intend on updating this as needed or appropriate.
