@gm: I don't recall the specifics of where we left off, but after talking to Aaron a bit at lunch today, I'm thinking of retracting my original intent (as pilot(s)), and throwing up the "white flag" instead—theoretically, this would negate the need for the (hopefully, somewhat logical) enemy ship to fire on us at all, allow the stragglers time to get inside while the enemy ship docks with ours, and allows us to ambush them when they board (making better use of our capabilities).
Any issues, anyone?

What if their objective is not capture, but rather elimination? And, if Josh is unavailable tomorrow, that means the two Gunslingers in the group will not be available to Repel Boarders (since Aaron is on the derelict watching the encounter with me.)
I'm going to suggest that, while that's going on, me & Aaron will try to use any remaining stuff (wires, electronic parts, etc.) on the derelict to rig up a distress beacon (maybe using the hull of the derelict as an antenna along with our already available wireless transmitter) to call in reinforcements from the orbital yards.

Just to answer: What if their objective is not capture, but rather elimination? They're either after the ship itself, or the McGuffin. In either case, destroying the ship would be counter-productive.They won't be "beaming over," so it will take some time to dock. That should be enough time for the stragglers to get back on.

Those of you in the ship took off, leaving behind Aaron's character and mine. If you "surrender" to allow the bad guys to board, you'll be expected to stand down and cease maneuvering which will preclude allowing us to rejoin the crew. Frankly, it seems more likely that Aaron & I will sit this encounter out while you guys find a way to deal with the bad guys.

Hence the question. I suppose we should develop Plan B, though. Either case, communicating with whatever authority exists in the area is prudent and a worthy task.

Why retcon though? That's no fun. I think you guys should try to lead the bad guys deeper into the debris field with the intent of causing them to crash into something and go boom. Heh.

ok...potential issue with the last one...is that we might crash as well...so that would be counter-productive for us as well....something tells me...no matter what solution we try...my services will be in high demand lol

Just in case it affects the strategy at all, I am letting you guys know that I will be there tomorrow.
