Gonna try this one more time, from a slightly different angle: As of next week, you're taking over this campaign…- What would you do next week?
- What would you do for the next season?
- What would you do for the rest of the series?
- How would you end it?
This is intended to be a continuing question/process—from time to time, I'll bump this and see where we stand, but anytime you have a thought about it, post it here.

No easy questions, that, eh? Next Week: - Well, first the Heroes need to pull out a win against Brother #3. I'd probably have the climatic duel take place during the Mass Combat because that's just cool.
- The episode would need to end in a way that makes the characters sit up and take notice, like perhaps the Witch Queen liaison turns out to be Sabrosky, but he gets away in some suitably weird/dramatic way. Or, just as weird, Brother #3 turns out to be one of the other plane crash survivors like Jack Knotts, but a version who is hundreds of years older than he should. Cue ominous music.
Next Season: - The characters end up pursuing Sabrosky because he's turned his coat and gone all Evil.
- Naturally, this leads them toward the crusade thing.
- Along the way, the Heroes become more of an "adventuring party," with them falling into the key roles (ranger, rogue, wizard, fighter, fighter ... oops, no cleric.)
- The second season has the Heroes in a very Fellowship of the Ring foot chase after the Bad Guy who has done something unspeakably evil or is trying to do something that drives the Heroes (kills off a friendly NPC whom the players like?) Along the way, they pick up hints about something wicked this way coming as well as earning a reputation as a team of absolute bad asses (so, obviously, we'd have to whack a couple more Godlings along the way.)
Rest of the Series: - Uh ... stuff?
- A bunch of things showing how the Heroes are "going native"?
- I'd like to see the transition of personalities from current to Hardened Bad Asses ala the way John Crichton transformed from naive scientist to ... hardened bad ass. With a side of crazy.
- You already know my idea about Awesome & the noblewoman.
Ending it: - Option is presented to "go home." Some choose to do so, some don't.
- Twist ending! Ala the first "Planet of the Apes."
- Pseudo happy ending, though, with those that stay behind becoming Historical Fulcrums or something.
Is that what you wanted, or was I too vague?

Is that what you wanted, or was I too vague? You could, maybe, be a little more specific, but generally, that's what I'm looking for.

ok...first, sorry for missing last week but i figured would be better to not get ya'll sick...especially since i found out my little ones had swine flu
i don't think i could set out an outline quite as well as the Awesome One has done...but a couple of things to add...
with the outlook being long term with this campaign ....
next week - - climatic battle being interrupted by sabrosky or another crash survior thought dead (as the liason) sweeping away brother #3 as he's close to death in a climactic cliff hanger type ending resulting in the chase of the following season
next season - - heroes dealing with the "knife in the back"' of the turn ... - brother #3 on the run with turncoat realizing the heroes aren't just pushovers - ending the season with climatic battle(s) with brother #3 and witch queen
rest of the series - - i like the transition to hardened bad ass ... but also maybe a transition to bad ass / real person ala end of highlander ...
ending it ....
who says it has to end....

Next week I want the climatic battle. I really don't need or want it tied into any crash survivors. I think it would be cool to tie it in with the witchQueen though
Next Season I want to go on a crusade. Maybe a crusade in large scale battle. I also want it to be a gritty war where our side is taking many losses and is only just surving. that is until the heroes arive to slowly tip the balance of the war.
Rest of series I like the idea of the transition to true fighter of this age. Also i would love to get more involved with the Knight Order.
Ending Maybe end it and then do a epilogue of the characters that says what they have done in their twilight years. Example: The kindly A Colt lived out his years in his keep training the best fighters in the world but never lifting a weapon for violence ever again"

I more-or-less intended this thread to be "ongoing." Things will change from week to week, and your thoughts about where you would go will normally be affected by what happens or is revealed in the course of the last session. So, the idea here is to keep posting your thoughts as they come to you, from week to week.
That said, this upcoming episode being the last of the season, this is a "how you would end the season" question also.

Sabrosky needs to get away again ... but there needs to be some sort of shock ending to carry us into season 2, something unexpected (hence, I can't make suggestions 'cause then it wouldn't be shocking.) Offline, I mentioned an idea (that you can't use now!) about how it would be shocking! if, without warning, a group of people staggered out of the fairy forest thing and the PCs raced to meet them ... only to discover they were staring at themselves! Something like that would make a good WTF? to end the season...

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of these "doubles" being faerie changelings intended to discredit us in the eyes of our new allies and potentially put us on the run or something, but it's all cool. Another idea to float that I kind of like is having us (the triumphant PCs) accompany Esmour's soldiers in a pursuit of the fleeing brigands ( surely we can each have obtained a horse from the scattered bad guys) so we can hit their camp (and recover the tribute as he stated earlier.) This could give us the option of acquiring a magic item or two.

Difficult to say. While I enjoyed being very capable of ass kicking, I think I would have probably required all players to pick up the "Cannot Kill" thing to reflect the Everyman Thrown Into Craziness aspect I think you were going for. I'd have liked to have spent less time in captivity and more time exploring the village and its environs, although I understand why you did it the way you did. Some time has passed - with winter setting in, the Heroes have ended up remaining in the area to help rebuild the village (and castle thing; I still don't have a solid grasp as to where it is located exactly) as well as to defend them against the raiders. Characters have developed friendships & other relationships (drinking buddies, sex buddies, romances, whatever) with various NPCs in that time. Winter is really bad, perhaps with the characters learning that their release of the Witch Queen is responsible ... so now they have to hunt her down. More fuckable? I do not understand what you mean by this question. Love interests for the PCs. Further indications that they have "gone native." The fact that godlings are pretty rare (which makes it interesting that the PCs have run into three so close together.) Word of their deeds (good or ill) have spread, which leads to all sorts of fun exaggerations and the like. Perhaps by discovering that the Witch Queen isn't a bad guy after all? Or that there is someone even worse pulling her strings? Or with the PCs once again taking an action that has negative connotations for the future? To crusade and hunt down the new Big Bad?

What would you have done differently, story-wise, in Season 1?
I'm not really sure that i'd have done anything differently...then again, i've never GM'd befer
How would you start Season 2?
the aftermath ... clean up and recovery from the battle (as there wasn't a lot of time from the end of the battle to the hunt) finding out more of what is to come for weyland now that we have released the queen...
What would Season 2 look like?
building closer friendships/relationships with the town ... helping them rebuild while continuing the hunt for the queen
What new elements would you introduce in Season 2?
the introduction of a new bad guy that doesn't have to be immortal...but is hard as hell to kill ... maybe multiple battles with this enemy
How would you end Season 2? hmmm...something like either death/redemption of the queen...or the new bad guy double crosses sabronsky and/or the queen and takes over ... becoming immortal in the process
Where would you go from there?
ongoing battles with the new baddie leading up to a final battle where he's killed ( or so we think) maybe something like he falls over a cliff to his death
