Session 1: Part One: Festival and Fire
- A band of adventurers come together during the annual Swallowtail Festival in Sandpoint when the ceremony to consecrate the town's new cathedral constructed to replace the one consumed by fire five years ago is disrupted by goblin raiding parties.
- These adventurers, several only recently returned to the town, slay several of the goblins, rescue local lord, Aldern Foxglove, and save many other lives, quickly earning themselves a reputation in Sandpoint as Heroes (with a capital H and a gleam.)
Session 2: Part Two: Local Heroes
- Over the course of the next several days, this band of heroes finds itself pressed into service several times as the locals begin to inexplicably turn to them first rather than the town guard.
- Raegar is amorously pursed by Shayliss Vinder, the shopkeep's daugher, which leads to a confrontrion between the Kordish cleric and her father, Ven, that ends in fisticuffs and bad feelings on the part of Vin. Shayliss, on the other hand, is simply encouraged.
- Lord Aldern seeks to buy the heroes' friendship, providing them with horses and gold, and taking them on a boar hunt where Sir Kenrick metes out the killing blow. On the bright side, the local heroes also become more acquainted with Ameiko, the daughter of a local lord and the owner of the brightest inn in Sandpoint.
- All is not perfect, however, as the heroes discover four days after the attack when a distraught farmwife seeks them out for aid against a goblin straggler. Too late, the heroes discover the feral creature has slain her husband and it gives her no closure to know that they threw the creature down in retaliation (in a very difficult fight!)
- The town sherriff, Hemlock, also introduces them to Shalelu Andosana, an elven ranger who has been aiding the town for long years against the goblins, and she reveals that something seems afoot within the goblin tribes. Hemlock, intent on seeking Magnimarian aid in dealing with the crisis, asks the Heroes to keep their presence known in town while he is gone.
Part Three: Glass and Wrath
- Eight days after the goblin raid, the Heroes are sought out once more for aid, this time by a halfling woman Bethana who works for Ameiko. The halfling is terrified over her employer's disappearance and reveals some correspondence between Ameiko and her disgraced half-brother, Tsuto, that points the heroes to the Glassworks building.
- After conducting some scouting, the heroes storm the building (much to the surprise of some onlookers), and inside they discover more goblins!
- A terrible fight ensues, in which the Heroes throw down many of the creatures and send Tsuto, who has been working alongside the creatures, into a rout. He does not get far, however, as his attempt to escape culminates in him being slain by Raegar's mighty blow.
- And outside, the clamor of the onloookers intensifies as rumor begins filtering that there were more goblins in town...
