Campaign Setup:
Character Creation:
Campaign Rules & Conditions:
- Location: Chicago, IL, USA
Starting around noon, on a public bus, headed away from the downtown (North River) area—You need to figure out why [you] are here—TBD
Character Creation:
- 150pts, -75 Disads + -5 Quirks
- +5 for full MB participation (all polls & questionnaires); +3 for a sufficient back-story, at least
- Phobia (Entomophobia) will not count toward Disad limit
- Grace-period, first session only (locked in after that)
- Limited Perks, per the usual rules, w/ exceptions possible @gmd
- No cinematic, exotic, or supernatural Traits (some normally "normal" Traits may warrant some watering-down, per Pyramid 3/21p31—I'll let you know if you run across one of these)
- Sub-Attributes may only be adjusted ±2, in general (there are a couple of exceptions; Hearing±4, HP±1/3HP—check the rules)
- Mental Sub-Attributes will start with a base of 10 (rather than IQ)
- Must take Pacifism (Reluctant Killer) unless "excused" via backstory
- Some Traits won't work, or will be limited, in this campaign:
- Dependents, Allies, Enemies, etc. will have to be either "All" or "Nothing"—may be taken as a Quirk, if neither of those fits
- Patrons, Secrets, etc. probably won't work, here, without some serious shoe-horning
- Wealth will be mostly-irrelevant; Starting Wealth will only apply to characters living in the Chicago area. Characters will only have whatever equipment is on their person at the start time (appropriate to the character's reason for being on the bus)
- Dependents, Allies, Enemies, etc. will have to be either "All" or "Nothing"—may be taken as a Quirk, if neither of those fits
- This campaign will be "Action™-heavy," so don't make too much of a weenie character
- Backup characters are not required, but I do suggest you, at least, have some ideas, just in case—won't be pulling any punches
Campaign Rules & Conditions:
- No pulled-punches; expect to be killed at any moment
- Plot Points in force, as normal; probably 3+Luck per session—TBD
- Advancement: planning to use the dice-check-at-end-of-session method—See House Rules
- Planning some sort of "last man standing" meta-game; whoever lasts the longest gets something—details TBD
- If nobody plays a Medic (or any other necessary Role), or takes a Medic character as an Ally, one may be provided as an NPC (but expect him to be taken away at any moment )
