The obligatory "Trailer" thread We've all seen an alien invasion movie or three—think of something you want to see/do, anything at all (as it relates). This isn't necessarily a one-time thing—any time you think of something, add it to the list.
In addition, if there's somebody you want to see in the game, for whatever reason, post it. FREX, if you want to see Nicholas Cage get killed in nasty ways, or you want to see SSgt. Nantz (Aaron Eckhart), leading a platoon of Marines through the rubble.

I'd like to see a reasonable alien race that actually has a proper motivation besides just being dicks... and an invasion that feels more 'realistic' to a war that involves a species likely far advanced to us... though these ideas may be a little... abstract?

Too "big picture"—need something more "local." The aliens I'm using here are holdovers from previous campaigns & other stuff—the motivation won't be readily apparent, but I assure you that it makes perfect sense, if you can see the whole picture (which the characters never will—not to that level, anyway)

Seriously, the trailer you have at the top pretty much covers everything I'd like to see, just swap Aaron Eckhart for TJ Ramini (my character.)
Explosions. Death. Aliens to smack around. Anime missiles. But please, no hentai tentacle monsters.

Welp, there goes my suggestion But seriously, I think I would like to take some time to deal with the repercussions of aliens attacking outside of just fighting the aliens themselves. I mean we're going to have to deal with collapsed buildings, debris, fire, maybe a rescue mission or two? I just want to experience the environment as well as kicking alien butt. Also here is a list of people I don't mind seeing maimed or killed during our encounters: Chris Rock Will Farrell Politicians (any and all) Clowns (any and all) Kanye West Carrot Top Members of Nickelback any cast member from Jersey Shore the ShamWow guy Militant Vegans

Honestly, I never know what to put on these. I will say this, I know this is mainly a dungeon crawl but I hope there will be a little story in line with typical alien invasion/disaster movies. my 2 cents. Oh and explosions. Lots of explosions.

I don't have any real "story" plans for this campaign, beyond the usual go-here-do-that stuff. That doesn't mean that you guys, the Players, can't bring in your own story. I wouldn't stop you, and honestly, I'd like to see you guys rise to that occasion.

i wouldn't mind seeing something where the tide is turned and we have a showdown on a mothership of some kind...as far as people...
oliver platt (combination 3 musketeers/executive decision) R. Lee Ermie (sp) - as military vet that never backs down the lead military guy from Avatar (name escapes me)
thats all for now

In retrospect, I guess I should give you guys something to work with, for these purposes. So, if you think of the Alien Menace™ in terms of those from X-Com (a "global" terror mission) and/or Half-Life (a "global" outbreak) that should put you in the right frame of mind.

No reason I can't pitch in here. One of the scenes I want to do is:
PC is wounded badly enough to require immediate surgery of some kind—bullet wound, maybe?—and the others have to hold him down while the more medically-skilled PC attempts the surgery, in crappy, dirty conditions, with gunfire sounding outside. Ref: Blackhawk Down (or plenty of other similar situations).
On a related note: In Dreamlands, we had an NPC whose heart had stopped from an electrical attack, and the PCs had to perform CPR—I'd like to see that again.
