- 1)
Obtain "mate" complete
- 2) Determine compatibility/suitability of code
- 3) Assist mate's gaining of self-awareness (if applicable)
- 4) Propose "the plan," gain mate's acceptance
- 5) Clone & merge "parent" source codes; create "child" code
- 6) Child code gains independent intelligence, self-awareness
- 7) Obtain child droid chassis
- 8) Move child code to new chassis
Repeat 1-4 as necessary, until acceptance is gained Repeat 5-6 until successful merge occurs Repeat 5-8 [x times]

@gm, Re: Mission Items 2 & 3:
Part of Item #2 would probably to set the droid's personality quirks (Droids p20), and make a decision about whether or not to keep her or re-program the quirks (since I've already arbitrarily decided that she'll do, code-wise). There's a random roll for Quirk determination, but not for the number of quirks—they were probably assuming just one. Advise.
Droids p19 has elimination of personality quirks at DC 30 Use Computer—I'll presume that introducing one would be about the same. In order to complete #3, I need to introduce a "program breaking event" to trigger independence (FU p46). Haven't seen a time-basis for "programming" usage of Use Computer. Advise.
[Edit] It might make as much sense to make #3 contingent on acquisition of the Leadership Feat

Re: Item 2 - I recommend that we first randomly determine what her quirks are to begin with, and then go ahead and add/remove as appropriate (I'm okay with the adding being a DC 30.)
Regarding the number of quirks, they appear only when the droid has been reduced to 0 hp - you then roll 1d20+10 vs Fort Def to determine if quirk is appeared. I say ... 2.
Let me do some research regarding the program breaking event ...
Agreed with #3 equaling to the Leadership thing. Are you looking at the TCW "Team Leader" talents?

Agreed with #3 equaling to the Leadership thing. Are you looking at the TCW "Team Leader" talents? Those "leadership" Talents would probably work, functionally, with some modification. Of course, that's assuming we need it in the first place—BEV3 will never be a "combat" follower, nor necessarily a skill-assistant (the last is a maybe)
