We need to put this shit on a map, or in a campaign: Church of Awesomely Goodness Hamlet of Nowhereville Cursed Sword of Berserking. This stuff is great. We need some more! Sounds like this belongs in Forgotten GreyLance—Nowhereville, right in the center of the Kingdom of Generica, and just south of the Church of Awesomely Goodness dedicated to the Nameless Sun-God

No...The Order of Awesomely Goodness.
A sect of the church. The reside and train north of Nowhereville.
The citizens of Nowhereville, feeling the burden of tax hikes, issued from the King of Generica, King John Doerson, have begun pressing the order for help in dealing with the ruthless sheriff of Humdrumnia.

Hmm… No, just "John"—King John XVII (of the Doe dynasty?), whose ensign is a single gold crown on purple, who has one daughter, the most beautiful woman in all the land (and a total priss). And his champion, the mighty Fist McPunchface +Sherriff of Borringham

Unfortunately, she has a tendency to fall in love at sight upon the rugged countenance of pretty much every Hero (tm) she encounters, so Poor King John fears he shall never be able to marry her off.

Or just leave them as they are. They look pretty generic to me.
Where is the campaign going to be located at?
ETA: And does that mean this needs to become ForgottenGreyLancerron?

Got it…The Overlord™, Lord of Nefaria, and his Grand Vizier, Snivell (Also, a darkly-beautiful-but-slutty daughter who spurns Snivell's advances, and will inevitably betray The Overlord, due to the intervention of the handsome Hero™) Also, Princess Damsel, as discussed

There is a rash of kitten disappearances across Generica; some suspect a sinister Nefarian plot, but to what end?!!…

THAT is NOT going to be the first adventure... Second or third, then? ;D For possible town name references (from Dungeon Keeper):

Somebody made a good-sized blank version of the same map, so I now have a "combined" one set up—all we have to do is cut something out, and we have a "patch" left behind with the blank version on it; now we can change whatever we need to.

Somebody made a good-sized blank version of the same map, so I now have a "combined" one set up—all we have to do is cut something out, and we have a "patch" left behind with the blank version on it; now we can change whatever we need to. So some thoughts/questions: - Where are Brindol and the Vale on this map? Where can we put it?
- The Kingdom where Silas is from is likely in the Thrane/Aundair area. Torret Keep would be just to the right of "Owl's Perch", which sounds like a town that would be held by the Ridgewoods. ;D A couple of towers along the river would also be appropriate if they can be squeezed in. "Riverweep" would be the town where his uncle is located. ( And the place where Silas and his sisters fled)
- Capital of the the Kingdom would be Fairhaven and the kingdom would extend as far down south as "marketplace" East as far as "Wrogar keep" and as North as "Whisper Rock".
- Also What are we doing about the lighning rail? Are we keeping it? Changing it to a trade route or major road?
Thoughts?

It would probably make sense to put the Vale just north of Lake Galifar, perhaps with Brindol equaling Havenglen? This would be my recommendation. The Ridgewood area of control needs to be close enough to Brindol that its believable a 1st-level character could get to Brindol without getting jumped by evil rats.
Alternately, it could be just south-east of Lake Galifar, in the area we see Arcanis and Vanguard Keep.
Wherever we place the Ridgewood-controlled area, I'm thinking Corum needs to be from that region as well, perhaps on the periphery, so Lord Ridgewood would technically be Corum's liege lord.
Good question about the lightning rail. Waiting for GM to respond...

Hate the idea of the lightning rail. Sorry...those are just major Teleportation Circles and there destinations. Dignitaries and others that can afford the service use them to get quickly from one city to another.
The Town of Cree should be Brindol, and to the East the City of Greenheart should be Overlook.

I actually kind of like the idea of the lightning rail because its a logical evolution in a world filled with magic, but that's neither here nor there.
What about the rest of zenwolf's location questions?
FYI, I obtained the 3.5 stuff (most of it) for HeroLabs. I'm going to maintain both versions (the HeroLabs and the HeroForge Excel sheet) for a couple of sessions once we start to determine which of the two is better. In any event, once everyone's characters are up and posted, I figure I'll go ahead and recreate them in HeroLabs so I can do the Initiative tracking for the GM since that's what usually trips us all up.

This is mostly directed to Budah and LabRat: what are your character alignments? May I presume Chaotic Good?
And Budah, does your character have a name?
Once you two have pdfs, you can email them to me and ill get them posted for you...
As an aside, I wasn't aware that gnomes were really long-lived. Looks like Corabelle and Uzi will be the old farts of the group...

Yes, Corabelle is chaotic good and she's about 50 years old. I think this makes her more of a young adult in whisper gnome years. She's just starting out in life and can qualify for AARP. Go Figure. I'll get you my character sheep ASAP. I had to work 6 days last week so that kinda screwed everything up. Plus getting Nate ready for his trip is just making things really hectic. Thanks in advance for putting up with me.

Nothing to apologize for. Real life (sadly) takes precedence over fantasy life.

ok...have a character sheet (minus spell list) thinking "sigfried the halfblood" for the name, and only have the heroforge spreadsheet...

Right click the stat block on the Races & Stats page in hero forge and then use ctrl + v to paste it to the forums. Create a thread for the character or post it here.
If you are having trouble deciding on spells, here are some thoughts
spells known 0-Detect magic, 3 open slots , 1-Magic missile, open slot, open slot 2?
For zero level spells, prestidigitation, mage hand, and either light or dancing lights are pretty typical selections. Color spray is pretty good at low levels but since you are a sorcerer you can switch it out when you no longer need it. Burning hands is another pretty typical selection if you want to the blasting thing.
Though it all depends on what kind of sorcerer you want to be. Once we know what you want then we can give you more targeted advice. ;D
