Prepare to Take One Step Away from Classic Fantasy.
Steam and soot darken the skies above the city of Flint, and winds sweeping across its majestic harbor blow the choking products of industrial forges into the fey rainforests that dot its knife-toothed mountains. Since the earliest ages when the people of Risur founded this city, they feared the capricious beings that hid in those fog-shourded peaks, but now as the march of progress and the demands of national defense turn Flint inot a garden for artifice and technology, the old faiths and rituals that kept the lurkers of the woods at bay are being abandoned.
The Unseen Court, the Great Hunt, and the many spirits of the land long ago conquered by Risur's kings no longer recieve tribute, but they cannot enter these new cities of steam and steel to demant their tithe. The impoverished workers who huddle in factory slums fear monsters of a different breed, shadowy children of the new urban labyrinth. Even their mondern religions have no defenses against these fiends.
Times are turning. The skyseers - Risur's folk prophets since their homeland's birth - witness omens in the starry wheels of heaven, and they warn that a new age is nigh. But what they cannot forsee, hidden beyond the steam and soot of the night sky, is the face of this coming era, the spirit of the age: the zeitgeist.

Thanks Mark for the post. I will be starting this campaign in the next couple of weeks. I am blown away by the first module in this series. It is more role-playing and skill based than straight combat. You are free to play any character that is in the players material. If the race and class are there then it is fine with me. Just post your character ideas here. The adventure starts at 1st level and you will be part of the King's police force, making it more squad based. Looking forward to it. I will let you know when we will start as I try to finish school and learn to load the game into Fantasy Grounds.

I am looking at playing a Female Elf named Silena Xavier Lioness, Vekeshi Mystic Theme, and Sorcerer with Undead Bloodline.
Died during the devestation of Srasama's Fall, Silena was revived from the dead and over the course of 499 years was enslaved for breeding stock and as a prize by multiple men both of elvish decent and human conquers. Only during the past year did a Vekeshi Mystic rescue her it was during this time of freedom that her brush with death and the mark it left finally become apparent. As the power within her began to grow, and the coldness of the grave began to creep up from within did she acknowledge her path of slow revenge and went through the trails of Vekesh. Her years of suffering under the hands of men did not destroy her, but gave her an inner strength that carried her through the trails, plus her touch from the grave helped her as well. After passing the trials and entering the ranks of the Vekeshi Mystics was she smuggled to Risur for her own safety. Finding a new home in Risur and an opportunity to fight for the freedom of those to weak to fight for themselves has given her a strong loyalty and purpose within her new country of Risur

Rylis "the Wanderer" Verathorn an old legend describes the Verathorn family's coming to Risur as a freak accident. Hailing from what the first known Verathorn's called 'Greenhold', they arrived after an odd storm had struck and lightning struck every Verathorn in the main capitol. There they lived peacefully and held on to their traditions of continuing the Verathorn line with all born males being Paladins. Rylis has decided to pave his own way, forsaking the paladin tradition, and holding onto a only a few of their beliefs. From childhood he was enamored and showed a natural talent for the new ranged weapons they found: rifles and pistols. His family was displeased and were constantly bagging on him for it. after some years his family disowned him over his lack of respect for their old traditions, they forced him to leave with only his favorite dual pistols and some throwing knives. After some time as a mercenary and a brief stint in the Risuri military as a rifleman, the RHC invited him to be a part of one of their field squads. Attachments:

Is this gonna be supported by hero lab? In a way yes. Characters can be created with herolab. The only real difference is you will not select traits, instead you can choose a theme (which is basically a feat). HeroLabs does not have these, but what we will do is: Once your character is created (minus theme feat) we will import/transfer the characters into Fantasy Grounds and then add the theme feat and discription there.
