I know there were a lot of issues with the game on Friday, but what did we think of it?

I didn't remember the D6 rules being so half-assed—not very well thought out. Of course, I could just be mis-remembering, and I'm sure I never really read through it at the time.
Which isn't to say that I don't wish to continue with it, but we'll end up wanting to make some tweaks, I'm sure.
I do think we need to lock down the scale at 1.5m, and leave it alone. If we continue to use D&D minis, and D&D maps, and D&D map cutouts, we need to use D&D scale (1.5m). At the worst, we could just convert the move scores to 6-squares, which will cover most instances. Whichever way we go, we definitely don't need to be switching back and forth between 1.5m and 1m.

Of course there were a few hic ups, we haven't used the system in a while. Had a good time though.
Would like to readjust a stat here or there, but willing to go at it again.

I kinda agree with Daniel. The system does have a few good points (I like the stat-based "leveling") and whatnot, but holy crap is there a lot that is either unfinished, poorly thought-out, or just broken.
The weapons is a fantastic example. As was what we had hit on during combat: being able to kill 4 or 5 mooks in a single turn with a "properly" built character. Or how about the economic system? Holy crap is that bad. I went from not being able to find a morning star without a hell of a roll, to being able to find them all over once I had the money from the halfling. Nothing changed about my character except the amount of money I had... it just doesn't work...
As far as playing it completely... eh... I'm not sold on it... seems way to loosey goosey for my style... I like more crunch/tactical combat, and this seems to be going the other way from that...

I thought it was horrible. Worst thing ever. I really regret actually paying money to see that movie ...
What? Oh. Yeah.
Ditto everyone else. I don't recall the d6 rules being quite as haphazard with Star Wars ... wondering if perhaps they just didn't do as good a job with filing the numbers off the system or if my memory is simply more selective than I thought.

I think d6 Fantasy in its current form is a no-go.
Still fun, but I think it would take some tweaking.
Now, the original D6 System is available for free, and it looks a little more crunchy, and it looks like some of the things that are broken in the new system, aren't in the old one...honestly, it looks more like SW.
SO...that being said, I don't know what to do this friday...honeslty, with the way I run we could really do any system we want...so what'll it be?

I think d6 Fantasy in its current form is a no-go. We've only played one session of it—hardly a proper evaluation. We've obviously found some holes; we need to determine what it would take to fill them, and whether or not it would be worth the trouble. Besides, we don't really have a backup plan, at the moment.

A few things:
1st. Ditching funds. For each pip you have in funds, give yourself 10gp.
B. Ditching the "unweildy" bs. Its kinds stupid.
Thirdly: thinking about ditching called shots. Yeah its nice to do a ton of damage to someones head, but eventually, they are going to start doing it back.
That's the short list. Whadda ya think?
