Pick a character from cinema, gaming, or whatever source (even a differing genre), that you wish your character to be (not literally) at 500+ point level, assuming he (and/or the game) survives so long. This is not to say that this goal needs to be static, or otherwise locked in, but it gives you a direction to take character improvement, and gives me an idea what opportunities to present you with.
Superman is probably too much. Arthur Dent is probably shooting a bit low. Corbin Dallas, Riddick, Ezio Audittore di Firenza is maybe about right.

"On the surface, they can still exercise their iniquitous laws, fight, devour each other, and indulge in all their earthly horrors. But thirty feet below the (sea's) surface, their power ceases, their influence fades, and their dominion vanishes. Ah, monsieur, to live in the bosom of the sea! .... There I recognize no master! There I am free!" -- Captain Nemo

"There should be a science of discontent. People need hard times and oppression to develop psychic muscles."
"There exists a limit to the force even the most powerful may apply without destroying themselves. Judging this limit is the true artistry of government. Misuse of power is the fatal sin. The law cannot be a tool of vengeance, never a hostage, nor a fortification against the martyrs it has created. You cannot threaten any individual and escape the consequences."
-Paul Muad'Dib

Let me put on my shocked-face (I was thinking that already; we can start by gouging out his eyes…)
