Ann Cameron- Grew up on a dairy farm in the small town of Lyons, Ks. Her father and mother divorced when she was around 18. After finishing school she was planning on taking over the family business but her father remarried and decided to sell the farm and take a blue collar job at his new, much younger, wife’s urging (farm life apparently didn’t suit her). With little prospects, Ann made the bold move to Alaska where she worked some odd jobs until she got a position working at a gun smith shop. The owner essentially took her under his wing and taught her to be an outdoorsmen. Her primary job now was to take paying customers out hunting for different species of bear, elk, or moose. She also would hunt game for the elderly who weren’t able to do it themselves so they would have fresh meat for the winter. Ann liked the outdoors, she liked the earth under her feet, and the sky over her head. She lived a humble live but she was happy. A few years after her move she got word that her father and his wife were going to have a baby. She was surprised on two accounts, one being her father was well into his 50’s and the other being that the “baby” was actually a set of twins. Liking the idea of having half-siblings, Ann kept in touch more regularly, and even more so after her father’s death (approx. 20 years after the twins were born). Though she never had much of a relationship with her step-mother, she considered Mary and Ian the only real family she had left.
People-
Totally out of his fricken mind crazy dude who in the end is actually beneficial- Think Zathros from Babby5
Warring political parties- Think Republican and Democrats both pointing fingers saying that the apocalypse was the other's fault. How will they handle the impending Zombie horde?
Mary Cameron- Twin sister to Ian and younger sibling to Ann. Mary and Ian are family that still live in Kansas. After The Event, Ann makes it a point to try to find out what happened to them. Mary is the more outgoing of the two twins. She talks a lot and sometimes runs headlong into things without thinking. She is a people person and loves social events.
Ian Cameron- Twin brother to Mary and younger sibling to Ann. Ian is more subdued when compared to his sister. Though she is a social butterfly, Ian is more of an observer. He always makes sure to think before he speaks.
3 Places-
1. Abandoned Hospital- because it’s just cool and creepy and it would make sense due to potential lack of supplies.
2. I would like to see an event where we might have to infiltrate a zombie ‘nest’ or strong hold for some reason. It doesn’t have to be stealth oriented but it would be interesting how to handle a situation where we have to go into a place where we are completely outnumbered.
3. Spaaaaaaace! Maybe we’re abducted, maybe we hitched a ride. Who knows but some combat on the alien space ship would be awesome.
4. Zoo! Because Zoo!!!
Events-
1. One major moral decision. It really can be anything really. But I would like to have an event that requires us to make a tough decision. Maybe an ends justifies the means type thing. It’s really up to you
2. An uneasy alliance between PCs and an (or several) NPCs. Our group will need something from them or for them to help us with something. The problem is maybe they are just a little bit crazy or they may have habits that are considered taboo (for example after The Event food might be scarce so maybe they have turned to cannibalism). PCs need to figure out how to work with these differences to reach a common goal.
3. Actual interaction with the aliens. Zombies are all well and good, but if there is a time where the aliens come down and we can interact with them, then that would be pretty neat. It might provide a new avenue when the zombies get boring.
A few caveats- There are a lot of things that haven’t be hashed out so I took liberties with certain parameters and how they occurred.
I also took liberties with the game show and made it into a partner thing. This provided the segway that if Ann dies then Tessa can be my backup character. It made some sense to me. If this doesn’t work then I will make adjustments.
