So, the plan was to use the Slow Zombies from Monster Hunters 3, which is all well and good. However, we ran into that issue on Friday of Stun/Knockdown and Death checks, which they should logically not be affected by, but according to the rules, they are. After some lookup, I found that there is a Trait called Supernatural Durability (B89), which has the effects I expected to see:There are a couple of other Traits I think would be appropriate to change/add: - Skinny (B18); for the -2 ST to resist knockback—they're strong, yes, but they don't weigh any more than normal
- Reduced HP; currently they have 15HP due to their Strength, but they should be a bit more "brittle," for lack of a better term, IMO
Any arguments? This is your story as much as mine, so if you want total chumps or super-beings, I'm open to it.

No objections here. I thought they seemed a bit tough and generally should be scaled back a bit. Besides what they individually lack can always be made up in numbers. They really are a good bad guy in terms of leveling players.

Zombies have always been about quantity over quality... one zombie by itself is not scary, twenty of them are. Unless we wish to completely change that paradigm, the weaker the beast the better

Might as well put it to the group, and get it out of the way early: is Move 4 too fast for "slow zombies?"

Might as well put it to the group, and get it out of the way early: is Move 4 too fast for "slow zombies?" Yes and No... I would say that the argument could be made that not all zombiez will move the same speed (a fat zombie will be slow and a skinny one might be faster) so I could see their speed being 3-4 depending on their size, but that might lead to additional work with for the GM

For my (extremely limited) experience with the zombie stereotypes, it is that they "always" shamble and cannot go any faster than that (would that be an equiv of move 2?)... If a move of 5 is an average man going flat out, then a move of 4 is wayyyy too fast... It always seems that outrunning them is easy (in general)... the problem comes when you tire, exhaust your resources, and/or run out of places to run... that is their terror: inevitability... they do not stop, they do not tire, step by slow step they will take away your hiding spots, your food, your comfort until you succumb and join them

If I were to do this then I would think that the zombies would travel at roughly half the speed of the players. So I would just take the average of everyone's speed and then divide in half. Round to where you think is appropriate. Like if the average speed is 2.8, then I would go with 3.

- Me=Leave it: slightly more challenging
- Shelley=Move 3
- Nate=Less?
- Chris=Variable
Just to be clear: this is your story as much as mine. I will use the version you find the most entertaining.

3 makes sense for regular zombies. And then, we run into Fast Zombies who have like an 8 or 9 and bounce around like rubber balls.

Probably consensus enough: 3 it is

I vote for a speed of 0... hilarity ensues when we have to cross a huge frozen lake without slipping into zombie hazards
