@ LabRat: I'm presuming you'll want me to use HeroLabs to assist you with initiative tracking? If not, there is also another way to handle this that might work - initiative cards. We used them in the past (I think the old Game Mechanics Initiative Cards can be found online) and they worked fairly well. You could even use 3x5 cards for that as well.

If you don't mind tracking initiative then I would certainly appreciate it. If it is too much of a hassle for you then we can go with the cards.

No, it's not a hassle. I'm going to be using HL for my character anyway.

What's the plan regarding magic items? Are you going to be doing the normal D&D thing or are you considering doing the "magic item increases in power as you level up" thing?

What's the plan regarding magic items? Are you going to be doing the normal D&D thing or are you considering doing the "magic item increases in power as you level up" thing? When you mean magic item increases in power as you level up, are you talking about legacy items that we have done in the past? If so I think the mechanic works well and we can import the same methods as you did with Crimson City.

This is what I was using:
Legacy Items: All Players begin play with the “Ancestral Relic” feat from Book of Exalted Deeds (ignoring the Good prerequisite.) This relic is automatically considered Masterwork.
That said, there might be a different option since this is Pathfinder. I'll try to locate the book and disseminate it ...

That would be great. I only have the core rulebook, but I can do some research on it and see if I can find it online.
@everyone I wanted to wait a few weeks to get Obsidian Portal going, but due to the cancellation of last week's game, I can now work on over the next few days, so it can be good to go for our first run. Sometime before Friday, if everyone can make a character and import your stats over there, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

@ LabRat: Your wiki page is krunked up. We can't access the pages you created. Do you know how to create links on the main page?

|
Post by LabRat on Dec 11, 2013 14:32:52 GMT -6
I thought it made links automatically. Guess it wouldn't hurt to actually read the wiki introduction. I just threw the links up there, I'll make it more organized this weekend after our first session since I can then add more to it.

What's really bad is when you start screwing around with the CSS like I am on the Red Sky one without really understanding what you're doing with CSS...

I added MikeE's character to the Portals site, but budah still isn't on there so I couldn't add it for him...

Concern: I'm not feeling great today. Hoping that I'll be better by game time, so I'll be there, but I'm definitely not at 100% today.

N8 talked to SQ and he voted to go South. If you make good time you will still be able to see the King of Truth and explore the East before checking in at Tisdale. So just wanted to let you know and I will start focusing on that part of the adventure.

The realization that we have zero arcane support plus how good we are with melee combat is making me question my character. I'm contemplating swapping out my character ... although we still need a rogue, so I'd probably need to do Rogue/Caster ...
Thoughts?

Honestly it will make the party more rounded, so if that is what you want to do, then it is perfectly acceptable to me.

So last night was a bit...fuzzy for me towards the end, so I just want to confirm which way you are leaning towards with regards to which ship you plan on selling. I plan to properly stat out the one you are going to keep. I will start working on that as soon as we get a consensus.

I believe, the final plan was to sell off the ship that was acquired by defeating the wannabe assassins

That is how I groked the plan as well.

So, we were discussing adding crew. I noticed that the Crew is set to 20 for the ship, but can carry 150 tons of cargo or 200 passengers. The questions I have: - Is the Crew of 20 the normal full crew? Or skeleton crew?
- If former, then how many additional crewmembers should we pick up and what would their duties be?
Giger, as much as I hate to admit it, you're more familiar with this sort of thing than I, so what do you think?
