Campaign Name TBD. "Red Skies" is a placeholder but may stay.
Planning on using GURPS 4E, with Monster Hunters as basis.
Knowledge of Dresden Files universe a plus, but not necessary. I have the television show on DVD if anyone wants to borrow them - the TV show and the books have some significant differences made for the show, but it at least helps.
Characters will be generated by GM, but will have 20-30 pts open for customization.
More as appropriate.

I will be picking everyone's brains for suggested locations in and around OKC (this includes Moore, Mustang, Norman) for good spots that could be "supernatural" hotbeds. Feel free to chime in with your random trivia, Mike!

You want just ghost stories or demons as well? Oklahoma city has its share of both.

Go wild.
And don't skimp on the Native American lore either. I'm already finding some really awesome stuff already...

It seems like every town you go to has their own version of Crybaby bridge. I think there are like 3 in Tulsa. It would be interesting if Moore actually had the only one that was legitimately haunted. Also the Library at OU in supposedly haunted. We have these archives called 'the stacks' that are from the 1920's - 1950's, they are dark, cramped, and just generally creepy. Allegedly a guy fell through one of the glass floors and so his spirit roams the stacks. There are random phones along the walls that ring randomly, and the floor is made of frosted glass so you can see shapes and shadows that aren't really there. That combined with the fact that you can access the abandoned underground tunnels through the library might provide some really awesome 'dungeoneering' opportunities.

The old schoolhouse in Moore is haunted.
And the crybaby bridge in more is just wind gusts.
Over by crossroads there is the sight of a large Indian battle/settlement.
County line restaurant used to be a speak easy till the feds killed everyone inside.
Look on the local news blotters for demon possessions. They usually have 1 or 2 a month but never fully report them.

So, to properly emulate the Dresden Files magic stuff, I'm going to be using both the core magic system (wherein a spell is treated like a skill that costs Fatigue points to cast) and the Ritual Path Magic stuff. Only people with the Magery advantage can cast using the basic magic system and, while anyone can use RPM if they know how to do the ritual, people without the Magery advantage are significantly limited in how successful they can be. Having just reread some of the Dresden books, this tracks with something he said along the lines of "anyone can do a ritual if they know what they're doing."

Some random remarks: - I've altered the timeline slightly though this will only really make sense to LabRat - the second Dresden book ("Fool Moon") transpired last October. So there was a big shoot-out or something in Chicago at one of the police stations, and then later, there was a video that appeared online (and mostly exclusively on WGN), ostensibly showing a local "wizard" killing a monster. It looks like he was swinging a glow stick around and throwing it at something large and furry before everything goes staticy. All sorts of experts have popped up since, claiming that the tape had to be a fake and decrying it as a simple hoax.
- Jack Carter has a subscription to the Midwest Arcane, a magazine that covers all sorts of supernatural and paranormal events throughout the Midwest. It's like the Weekly World News, but on occasion, there are things that show up he knows aren't complete BS (even if they're unanswered.)

Vengeful Whispers, Chapter 3: Darkest Days is up. I made some minor tweaks to the end (which will be reviewed again on Friday) and I fully expect it to be chock-full of grammar errors until I get to the next review of it.

Session 4 recap is up. Might want to check it out since I fixed the remarks from Aoibheal so they were comprehensible and did the same with the pentagram explanation at the end.

To ensure I have the most up-to-date control sheet, could Giger, LabRat and Magman email me their GCA files? I have Budah's and MikeE's latest sheets already.
Thanks!
