So, what's the plan for ascending the mountain you guys suspect is hiding something interesting/dangerous/whatever? You don't have climbing equipment, Sofia doesn't (currently) have the Climbing skill, and thus far, it looks like there is only really one way up the mountain (specifically, the dirt road that you were turned away from by those guards.)

I think we're going to need to see what we're dealing with before we can make a decision on that

I meant the players, but that too

Walk up it? Is it a sheer mountain - because by and large I was envisioning more Arbuckles and less plateau.

Player says we punk the guards then go about our business PC thinks it's best for a little watch and wait, maybe catch someone leaving or coming back and acquire their vehicle

I suppose Lee will probably favor the brute-force approach, though his player knows better

So, me not running today is probably for the best as I'm seriously second-guessing what I was originally planning because it would (I'm afraid) devolve into just me talking with WxMAN interjecting a question from time-to-time (due to the FLASH! he experienced) ...
Which leads me to another idea: we could do that part via the boards. Up for that, WxMAN? (And the others can chime in as well.) Then, next week, when we get together, we'll resume the regular game post-Flash! events...

That being the case, it's either make it a side-job, make it prose, or give the rest of us something of substance to do. FWIW, going to be easier to tell the story without players interfering.

Well, I was also thinking about experimenting throughout the rest of the arc by having Mat experience brief flashes ... but I recall you doing something (very) vaguely similar with the plane crash flashback and unfolding bits and pieces. That was pretty confusing even though the idea was a good one. I guess I could limit the amount of time spent on the Flash moments? So it could be all jumbled around (like Precognition probably would be) and then drop random pieces of it into the game? Actually, just talking that through, I'm kind of liking that idea... So, for example, it could go like this: - In the regular time, PCs are all on the ATV, heading down the mountain after the clash with the Blampire. Mat touches the crystal ball and FLASH!
- Suddenly, he's fighting monsters in the future and other Players get to run those monsters. Just as the fight ends, he observes SOMETHING.
- And FLASH, he's back on the ATV, possibly weirded out slightly. Adventure continues along. Eventually, something happens and FLASH!
- Suddenly, he's in the future again, doing SOMETHING. And he learns/observes/watches something. FLASH! Back to the present.
So, for all intents & purposes, each future flash lasts just long enough to do a couple rounds of combat and to LEARN A THING, then back to the present. Am kind of leaning toward that now...

I like it. They always say during movies to Show don't tell. I guess for gaming it could be tweaked to Play don't tell.

Either here or during the game is fine so long as everyone can participate and it isn't just you and me having a game session while everyone else bitches over facebook or something ;-)
Also, I can be dense sometimes so if the precog stuff is super random and jumbled I just may not get it at all

Also, I can be dense sometimes so if the precog stuff is super random and jumbled I just may not get it at all By jumbled, I meant "out of order" not "flashes of events in no context." The latter is probably more realistic in terms of the power (heh. More realistic. A discussion of a super-power.) but in order to ensure everyone is participating, I'll probably do an entire scene - say, a fight, without context - and then do a roll off against his IQ if something needs to be related that is cryptic and the player is having a "dense" day.
