Tuckerization is something that happens a lot in writing and as I revamp my sci-fi novel (again) after a frustrating realization that I'd screwed the pooch in terms of plot and should have stuck with a previous version with a much stronger narrative, I've discovered the need for a handful of background characters (whose fates are yet undetermined) that are intended to basically be the mercenary crew of a small ship. I considered using the S3M team, but decided I'd rather create some other people. Below are the core concepts I'm planning on using with approval: - MAC - Team leader, ship "captain." He's the grizzled veteran who has seen it all.
- LUNCEFORD - Team shooter. For some reason, everyone seems to think he's a serial killer. Think of Til Schweiger from Replacement Killers and you're probably right.
- ESQUIVEL - Ship engineer, mechanic, bullshit artist and general con artist.
- HIRSCH - corpsman who is more. She's from the "former physician who lost her license due to naughty things of some sort."
- PRESCOTT - pilot probably
Everyone okay with that? "Shiny. Let's be bad guys."

Oh, and WxMAN, feel free to chime in as well. I used Hirsch for LabRat because I didn't know the maiden name but I can rework.

It's Edwards (did you think my middle name on FB was Edwards Also not to dictate your writing but can my character have a witty one liner? It doesn't have to be anything great or over anything important, but I've always wanted one but never been able to pull it off irl.

People have weird names all over. Didn't want to presume. It's cool. For the record it is Rochelle (Shelley) Denise Edwards/Hiers. Easy, right? Tons of ammo to help think up a name.
