Hey folks.
I need some practice running the game I'm going to be running at Gencon. Should only need one night. I'll have all the characters premade and everything ready to hop in.
Thoughts?

I'm in - just let me know when...
What system is it in? Is it built for people with no experience - otherwise that may skew the adventure because I'll likely have no experience with the system

You have my dice...and me to roll them. Because that wouldn't be helpful if it were just my dice lying there on the table

Apparently we have an opening tonight Considering he's enlisted me to watch Max this weekend, I doubt he's available for tonight.

Things I could remember:
* Cut down the setting stuff to a page or less * Add descriptions + mechanics to all the skills, etc for the players to reference * Maybe some more weapon variety would be nice for the characters - there were 5 characters and 3 weapon types (flamer, smg, pistol) * A little interaction with a dying NPC or AI would add to some mystery/creepiness factor * Is there an actual way to "win" outside of just resetting the time? Maybe there should be just in case the people do luck into it * Maybe make it a little clearer as to why the PCs are trapped in a time loop and why it began * I liked the progression of showing the scorpocats, then the zombies which incubate them, then the grand controller cat - gave a nice progression to the ecology
Good luck - let us know how it goes!

Updated history:
Long and short…Humanity is fucked.
Summer of '07. Tetaldian saucers appeared over most major population centers on Earth and began a ruthless campaign of slaughter.
Then the Dressites showed up…Then the Zerin.
So, we fought back. It wasn't long before we started launching nukes. Problem was, the ships could detect them coming from miles away and just leave….spaceships can fly away from Ground Zero; cities can’t.
Sky turned grey for a while after that. Humanity’s population has been cut from billions to millions in less than a year.
So…being humans, we fought back harder.
By far the most successful of these guerilla fighting forces was a Texas group calling itself “Fear Agents.”
Learning of a Dressite moonbase with some massive weapon of destruction, the Fear Agents attacked.
Now, this attack is a lot like Woodstock. Everyone seems to have been there, but the stories are all different.
What IS known is soon after the attack, all of the Tetaldians on earth dropped dead, then for some unknown reason, during a raid on the Fear Agent HQ, the Dressites just left…
Aftermath
Within mere days of the Dressite retreat, more alien spacecraft arrived on Earth. Fortunately, these visitors did not appear guns a-blazin’.
They identified themselves as representatives of the United Systems. The United Systems offered Earth a place in the interplanetary coalition.
In addition, due to their failure to protect Earth from the Tetaldians during what they were calling the Annubius Conflict, the United Systems opened its coffers to help rebuild—and help humanity advance its own technology, bringing it closer to the standard for other coalition species.
Earth is now a full voting member of the United Systems, more out of guilt than anything else.
Largely, the United Systems concerns itself with interactions between planets, trade agreements, and fighting the Tetaldians.
The humans surviving the Tetaldian invasion are the toughest (or at least wiliest) members of the species.
What Earthmen are finding is there are a lot of dirty jobs out there with no one to do them. Whether it’s colonizing a festering swamp of a planet with ticks the size of elephants, tracking down the worst criminals in one or more galaxies, or just cleaning out an infestation of nematodes the size of anacondas, humans are just the guys to do it!
