Dr. Miyamoto Yoshihiro (255 points)
Son of a Japanese doctor currently serving as a professor at the University of British Columbia, and a First Nations woman. Yoshi's father attended UBC as a student during which time he met Yoshi's mother. They would eventually elope, much to the irritation of both of their respective parents; relations would eventually thaw, which allowed Yoshi to spend some time with his mother's family. Yoshi followed in his father's footsteps and attended UBC as a medical student although he has no great love for medicine and was only doing so because he didn't know what else to do. He has only recently begun his residency in Fort St. John and, after three or four months of it, he's already wondering if becoming a doctor was a terrible mistake because he's so freaking BORED. Miyamoto is actually his surname, but being something of a weeb, he uses the Japanese fashion of naming which is Surname first, then Given name ... but since we're in Canada, everyone presumes "Yoshihiro" is his surname so he's known as "Doctor Yoshi".
