It was horrible! I can't believe you had cannibal halflings eat budah's character! Or sacrifice LabRat's to the Dark Lord of All Things Moist and Scabby! And there are no words for what you did to the rest of the group!

So what didn't you like about it? Smiley malfunction. Since you asked, though—and this is a pretty nit-picky criticism—I would say that it was a bit fight-porn. Not sure what I would've done differently, though.

Well, that is the problem with some "in between adventures" is filling the space up with combat.
I could always just replace the combat with descriptive text and move on the "The Boss Battle". 'Course, you wouldn't get much exp. Lol.

'Course, you wouldn't get much exp. Lol. Better combat than nothing. The trick is to tie the combats together with something of more "substance"—which is the oldest problem in RPGs, I think, and not easily overcome. I think the substance we have had is generally created by the Players more than the GM, so you could just as easily say that it was our fault.

Well there just wasn't much time to do anything of real plot substance to me once I arrived... I get untied, then immediately the party is in a fight with the orcs, which continued step by step further down the temple... there just isn't much time to stop and smell the roses when we are still clearing the temple... I mean technically you guys should be curious as to where Corabelle was and haven't even been "introduced" to me since we are battling wave after wave of orcs... We'll probably have time for proper introductions and plot once we get to the big bad / after (if?) we kill it

Nov 11 = Criticisms: Maybe some more "realistic" reactions from the NPCs? I know we didn't get much into things at the castle, but if Serry were to really mouth off to Killian, would he of just shrugged it off? But that may be more of an issue with what the party wants vs GM as far as to really bring in the "RP-ing" into the game. I am also a little concerned with each member of the group getting into combat. It seemed like Silus, Corabelle, and Sigfried can sometimes become essentially unable to truly participate in combat. They may be alright with it (and it just may be my perception) and it may be my complete "newness" to the game as a whole, but if there is a way to tilt the combats a bit so everyone has their ability to shine (even if it isn't in every combat) it would be nice. Most fights have seemed to boil down to a chokepoint where the enemies and Rowan, Uzi, and Serry smash into each other, leaving the other party members unable to really maneuver in the battlefield and do what they do best. Best moment: The unexpected bridge near-catastophy, a simple unplanned "trap" put a lot of tension into the game Worst moment: "Restocking" before going to Sodden. Took too long, was completely unfocused, and wasted a ton of time with little gain. (not really the GMs fault)

11-11-11 Fun, but (as usual) a little over the top. I echo the Best Moment above. My Worst Moment would be the alignment kerfluffle, of which I fear we will continue to have. The restocking thing is just an ongoing issue - we've jokingly called it Wal-Mart d20 in the past - that I don't know how we can really avoid.

Most fights have seemed to boil down to a chokepoint where the enemies and Rowan, Uzi, and Serry smash into each other, leaving the other party members unable to really maneuver in the battlefield and do what they do best. As far as Silas goes the issue boils down to : - Player was fighting off sleep despite having copious amounts of caffeine so I was more "checked out" than usual
- I had already stupidly blown most of my Power points testing out one of my new spells earlier. I was down to 1/5 of my total most of the night, and I was holding out for a big boss fight. When we got to the boss the fighters had him well in hand. As a caster I am just looking to help out where I am needed. So i am not too fussed about it
- Mostly fought mooks (and btw I wasted at least two of them with my "light" crossbow. ;D) so expenditure of Power Points wasn't really worth it for most of the night.
So really I will be more involved in the future. Last night was a bit of a fluke for me.
